Costa Rica's Dominical - Playa Uvita Beach

Playa Uvita
Located 16km (10 miles) south of Dominical. To get there from the village of Uvita, turn in at the village of Bahia and continue until you get to the ocean. The beach is well protected and great for swimming. At low tide, you can walk around and explore another tiny island.

This Costa Rica park get it's name from the whales sighted close to shore during the winter months. Some that have flown over the area say there’s a little island that resembles a whale’s tail.
