Getting to Montezuma, Nicoya Peninsula Costa Rica
Montezuma, in the Nicoya Peninsula, is located at the center-north pacific of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
How to get to Montezuma!
There are four ways to travel from San Jose to Montezuma:
There are many shuttle services that run twice daily, with good rates and comfortable shuttle buses.
Car: From San Jose take the highway to Puntarenas, where you take the ferry to Paquera, (check with the hotel for the ferry schedule), once in the Nicoya Peninsula you follow the signs to Montezuma.
Important:
To Ferry users: we recommend that you check with them for ferry schedule. Also, you should arrive early to ensure that there is space for you and your car. This service is approximate.
From Puntarenas To Tambor:
5 am TAMBOR 1
9 am TAMBOR 2
11 am TAMBOR 1

From Paquera to Puntarenas:

Public Transport: From San Jose, at the bus station “La Coca Cola”, take the direct bus to Montezuma-Mal Pais,
Plane:
Air Line Sansa makes two daily trips from the Juan Santamaría Airport (San Jose airport) to the Tambor airstrip.
Departs: 10:25 and 16:25.
Flight Time: 28 Minutes
Air Line Nature Air, makes two daily trips from the Tobias Bolaños Airport in Pavas, to the Tambor airstrip.
Flight Time: 28 Minutes
