Events Jaco News: Wheelchairs Distribution to Jaco Beach Community, Central Pacific, Costa Rica
Costa Rica's Central Pacific Women's Group is an inclusive, bilingual group whose purpose is to provide positive support to each other and the community under the auspices of the Central Pacific Chamber of Commerce. This is accomplished through networking, social and cultural events and volunteer opportunities. SHARING, LEARNING, UNITY!
Our program for Thursday, Feb. 19th will be "What do I do when something goes wrong?" which will be presented by Juan Gabriel Hidalgo the Chief of the Municipal Police. We'll find out what to do if we have security, medical or accident issues. Bring pen and paper as I know we will receive valuable information. After the meeting our 'lunch bunch' will begin as we'll head downstairs and have lunch together at Balcon del Mar. All are welcome so please plan to join us.
This month we would appreciate it if as many of you as possible donate 1000 colones to go toward our mural project. Thanks to Day Star, the paint has been stripped from the wall. The next step is to find some strong arms to scrape the wall and smooth it out. Then we'll ask for volunteers to paint the primer coat which will be donated by the paint store across from the Beatle Bar. After that we'll need to buy the paint for the beach scene designed by Pierre who will be there to help us.
Remember to bring your promotional materials to our next meeting! It's important that we are supportive of each other. We receive so much assistance from the Central Pacific Chamber of Commerce. Please try to support these important functions.
El Grupo de Mujeres del Pacífico Central es un grupo bilingüe cuyo objetivo es proporcionar un apoyo positivo a los demás y la comunidad, bajo los auspicios de la Cámara de Comercio del Pacífico Central. Esto se logra mediante la creación de redes, sociales y culturales, eventos y oportunidades voluntarias. COMPARTIR, APRENDER, UNIDAD! Nuestra próxima reunión será el jueves 19 de febrero y el tema principal será "¿Qué debo hacer cuando algo va mal?", el cual será presentado por Juan Gabriel Hidalgo el Jefe de la Policía Municipal. Vamos a averiguar qué hacer si tenemos problemas de seguridad, médicos o en caso de accidentes. Lleve lápiz y papel ya que se recibirá información muy valiosa. Después de la reunión tendremos nuestro almuerzo "lunch bunch" en el Hotel Balcón del Mar. Todos son bienvenidos así que por favor unase a nosotros. Este mes nos encantaría que sea posible donar 1000 colones para nuestro proyecto mural. Gracias a DayStar, la pintura ha sido despojado de la pared. El siguiente paso es encontrar algunos brazos fuertes para raspar la pared. Estamos solicitando voluntarios para ponerle la primera capa de pintura al mural la cual es donada por el negocio de pinturas ubicado frente al Bar Beatle. Después de eso tendremos que comprar la pintura para el tema del mural que es una playa diseñada por Pierre, que estará allí para ayudarnos. Recuerde traer su material de promoción para nuestra próxima reunión! Es importante que se apoyen mutuamente. Recibimos mucha asistencia de la Cámara de Comercio del Pacífico Central. Por favor, apoyenos en estas importantes funciones.
