Earlier Rainy Season in Store for Costa Rica
Costa Rica's National Weather Bureau announced the transition from the dry season to the rainy season will come earlier this year.
The change comes from the influence of the phenomenon known as La Niņa. The disturbance causes unusually cold surface water on the Pacific Ocean, which in turn promotes overcast skies and rains.
Although the Costa Rica rainy season usually starts in May, this year it is expected in mid April.
