Diving in the South Pacific of Costa Rica

Plunge into a beautiful fascinating garden of coral reefs.

The best diving spot in the Southern Pacific Area is found in the Caņo's Island Biological Reserve, located only 45 minutes from Drake Bay-Osa Peninsula.

You will find a marine ecosystem beyond compare where you can spot hammerhead, white finned and whale sharks, ray fish, all in the presence of dolphins and humpback and finback whales. These can be seen throughout the year, and especially during Jan to April. Whales from the North and South meet at different times year round and make this area unique.

Costa Rica Coral Reef
The protected marine area of the Ballena Marine National Park, and the Tres Hermanas small Islands possess a large amount of coral as well as an abundance of marine life including the humpback whale.
