Papa G's Costa Rica Surf Forecast
Friday the 9th stand out breaks should continue to see surf in the chest to overhead+ range, with some deepwater spots seeing sets in the range of a couple feet overhead to several feet overhead (extreme cases). You may also notice a shift in energy to a bit more southerly angle (190-200) with periods around 14-seconds.
Saturday the 10th looks very similar to Friday, with chest to overhead+ surf typically, and some deepwater spots seeing even bigger size.
Sunday the 11th SSW swell starts to back down a little bit, but for the most part maintains size around waist to head high at typical breaks. Swell should start fading for some areas as period drop down into the 13-second range.
Monday the 12th mostly waist to shoulder high leftovers from the SSW will be in the water, but there could be some new forerunners especially farther south with periods around 19 seconds from 200-210 degrees.
Tuesday the 13th, the grunt of the new SSW (200-210) should start to arrive, mixing with any leftovers still in the water. The 18-second swell could mean a pretty good increase in size, boosting top spots back into the range of shoulder high to a couple feet overhead by the end of the day, maybe even bigger for stand out deepwater spots.
Beyond that, more swell for around the 18th possibly
