Note: Playa Naranjo is recognized by the unique rock formation in the bay called Witch's Rock (Roca Bruja). It gets it's name from the howling sounds produced when winds blow around the rock itself.

It is the offshore wind that make this wave what it is; a fun and sometimes challenging barrel maker. The beach seems to hold sizable swells but the water can get colder here than most other Costa Rican breaks. You can camp in Santa Rosa National Park or take a boat from Playa del Coco.
