Jaco Beach Events: Student National Surfing Championships
Jaco Waves Sliders Surfing Association, is organizing a surf contest to be held in front of Best Western Jaco Beach Hotel on November 28 - 29, 2009. The Costa Rica event will be called the Student National Surfing Championships in order to raise funds for the project Monarchs to cover team members [who are under-ages] in transport, registration, meals and lodging and to give financial and moral support to children in our area who are the social risks. Through surfing, youths are motivate to keep studying, away from drugs still be able to compete in various tournaments throughout the year.
The surf categories are: school, college, university, men and women. This is going to be a fun event that will be attended by many representatives from the surfing commercial world and of course some they will be looking for new team riders.
Start putting your kid crews together now, registration will be limited to some 150 students only and all will be pre-registered, no on site registration will be allowed. Therefore they request your cooperation by making your contribution to cover the prizes for the tournament. LA ASOCIACION DE SURF DE DESLIZADORES DE OLAS JACO, integrada por un grupo de empresarios de la zona incluyendo a Juan Calderon del Restaurante Tabacón, Chuck Herwing de Chuck's WOW Surf Shop, Juan Carlos Chaves, Juan Carlos Arias del Centro de Especialidades Médicas Jaco, Selena Cubero de Premier Dental Care y dos integrantes del equipo nacional de Surf: Lizbeth Vindas y Diego Naranjo, ESTA ORGANIZANDO UN TORNEO DE SURF PARA EL 28 Y 29 DE NOVIEMBRE, 2009 FRENTE A LAS INSTALACIONES DEL HOTEL BEST WESTERN JACO BEACH. La actividad se llamará Campeonato Nacional Estudiantil de Surf en Playa Jaco, cuyo objetivo es recaudar fondos para el proyecto Monarcas, para cubrir los gastos de los integrantes del equipo (los cuales son menores de edad) en cuanto a transporte, inscripciones, comida y hospedaje y darles soporte económico y moral a los niños de nuestra zona, que se encuentran el riesgo social. Y a través del surf se les motiva a mantenerse estudiando, lejos de las drogas teniendo la posibilidad de competir en los distintos torneos durante el año. Las categorías serán; escolares, colegiales, universitarias, masculinas y femeninas. Este va a ser un evento divertido que contará con la presencia de numerosos representantes del mundo comercial el surf y, por supuesto, algunas de ellas estarán buscando nuevos integrantes para sus equipos. Comience a poner a sus hijos en los equipos ahora, el registro estará limitado a sólo unos 150 estudiantes y todos serán pre-registrados, no se permite el registro en el sitio. Además, ellos están solicitando su colaboración mediante donaciones para cubrir los premios del Torneo.
