Costa Rica Restaurants: Restaurants in Manuel Antonio/Quepos

Hotel La Colina
There are scores of dining options around Central Pacific in Manuel Antonio and Quepos, and almost every Costa Rica hotel in the area has some sort of restaurant. The downtown Quepos El Banco Bar (tel. 777-0478) is deservedly popular, with excellent American-style bar food and fresh seafood.

For the cheapest meals around, try a simple soda in Quepos, or head to one of the open-air joints on the beach road before Manuel Antonio national park entrance. The standard Tico menu prevails, with prices in the $3-to-$8 range. For great local seafood specialties check out Mar Luna (tel. 777-5107), on the main road in front of Hotel Babaloo Inn.

On the main road towards Manuel Antonio National Park and Quepos: Hotel Mono Azul (Blue Monkey Restaurant) & Hotel La Colina, are your best bets. For simple pasta, pizzas, and Italian gelato, head to Escalofrío (tel. 777-0833), right downtown.

If you have a room with a kitchenette, you can shop at one of several supermarkets in Quepos and Manuel Antonio or brave the cluttered stalls of its central market, located right next to the Quepos bus station. Another option for light meals, deli items, and well-prepared sandwiches is L'Angolo Italian (no phone), in downtown Quepos.
