New Costa Rica Luxury Resort Near Manuel Antonio

Costa Rica will Soon Unveil its Fourth Fully Sustainable Resort Giving the Eco-Tourist Another Chance to Experience Nature First-hand.

Costa Rica welcomes its fourth fully sustainable resort that offers travelers the chance to travel in luxury while still being part of the conservation of such a natural rich country.

San Jose, Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a country rich in culture and natural beauty and resorts have finally started to cater to the twenty-first century traveler. Today, travelers are attempting to experience the social-cultural and ecological aspects of the local community. There have been huge advances in the conservation of the local area and resorts have started to follow the trend by assisting its customers in finding their perfect eco-friendly vacations. Soon the Arenas Del Mar will open its doors to customers giving them an opportunity to live amongst nature knowing that they are not hurting the ecology of the area.

Volcanoes, rivers, beaches, waterfalls, and rainforests cover the small country making it a playground for visitors. With so much natural beauty and an increase in visitors each year, the need for natural conservation is at its highest and the Costa Rican Tourism Ministry is setting new standards for sustainable tourism.

Costa Rica has become a world contender in adventure tourism drawing in over 1.5 million visitors a year. This causes concerns for the Tourism Ministry as it hopes that the impact from all of these travelers is limited or even non-existent. To protect the pristine environment and the hundreds of native species, the ministry has developed a way to rate the hotels to measure the level of environmental impact. It measures the hotels based on a one to five scale, (five being the highest), the interaction between the company and the environment, the infrastructure, the company's interaction with its clients, and the interaction between the business and the local community.

Costa Rica features four of these perfectly rated resorts. The Hotel Villa Blanca, Lapa Rios, Albergue Finca Rosa Blanca, and Arenas Del Mar are the best environmentally conscious hotels in Costa Rica. Nature meets luxury in all of these hotels that boast natural materials, energy efficient electronics, and recycled goods. They each have integrated the natural aspects of the rainforests and beaches to truly make it a one of a kind experience. In each location the guests are greeted by wildlife and can sit back and enjoy the raw sounds of the ocean and jungle.

The Arenas Del Mar, located on Costa Rica's Pacific coast next to the beautiful Manuel Antonio, takes pride in incorporating the environment with its structure. Some of the unique characteristics that make this resort stand out among the rest are only allowing electric cars onto its property, the roof tiles are made from recycled plastic bags from the banana industry, and they will have an on-site recycling center. In addition, they will only use native plant species to decorate the grounds. These are just a couple of the precautions that they have put forth to become fully sustainable.

Energy efficient appliances, thatch roofs, reducing the use of fossil fuels, and even having their own waste water plant, are just some of the steps these hotels have taken to achieve sustainability. For customers looking for paradise without disturbing the local community, it is easily achieved when traveling to Costa Rica.
