The Jaco Beach Restaurant was created with the idea that great Mexican food was hard to find and quality ingredients freshly prepared was the key.

Over the years, this philosophy has not changed. Owner & Chef Caliche, is a Costa Rica native and vegetarian. Need I say more? They use no lard, preservatives, artificial flavors or fillers. They always start with the finest, freshest ingredients available and prepare everything to order.

At the start, Caliche & Kristen did all the cooking and serving, to ensure the highest quality and service. Today, they still have that "hands on" approach to running this Costa Rica restaurant and can be found alongside the staff working in the kitchen.

The Wishbone Restaurant House Specialties include freshly prepare Tuna dishes. Choose from sesame crusted tuna, a tuna steak with mango salsa, or fresh tuna lightly seared and served with a soy-wasabi dressing. You can also choose from a large menu of excellently prepared seafood dishes, as well as a variety of sandwiches served in homemade pita bread.

Today they have customers who regularly travel over an hour to Playa Jaco Beach to enjoy they're great California style Mexican food. I stopped in for a slice of pizza and encountered more than just friendly service. The guys enjoyed the Wishbone Chicken Salad and had a hard finishing it! Us girls shared a medium Bar-b-q Chicken Pizza - delicious. We we're stuffed and took the rest back for the next day! I highly recommend it!
