Located right across the road from the best section of beach at Playa Flamingo, this large, modern facility is the best full-service hotel in Flamingo. The Costa Rica resort has an enviable locations fronting a gorgeous section of Playa Flamingo. The hotel is constructed in a horseshoe shape around a large pool and opens out onto the ocean. Half of the rooms have clear views of the ocean across a narrow dirt road. I definitely prefer the pool and oceanview rooms. Others, which are termede "mountain view" rooms, aren't quite as desirable. All the rooms are clean and cool, with tile floors and comfortable bathrooms, although many were in need of some upkeep when I last visited. The junior suites and suites are larger and better equipped, with full size refrigerators, kitchenettes and 27-inch television sets. There is a casino on site for the adults, as well as a children's center and play room for the kids.
