This is the closest lodge to the Las Pailas mud pots and the Azufrale hot springs. Hotel rooms vary in size, and the nicest are the individual cabins, which come with hammocks on their private balconies. In all rooms, the furnishings and decor are simple and rustic. Quite a few come with one queen-size and one set of bunk beds.

Meals are served in a large open-air rancho in the middle of the complex. The lodge offers numerous day-long tours either on foot, by mountain bike, or on horseback. It also runs an extensive canopy tour, which takes you on a high-wire ride over a couple dozen different treetop platforms, beginning with a manual ascent up a towering ceiba tree. This place is geared toward backpackers, students, and nature enthusiasts.
