Hotels Costa Rica:
Arenal - La Fortuna Hotel Accomodations, Northern Zone

Arenal Volcano Hotels
Costa Rica's northern zone of La Fortuna is an active tourist town. Accommodations in the Arenal volcano area go from basic cabinas and standard hotels to beautiful 5 star resorts. Most run either in town or along the road heading towards the hot springs.

Many Costa Rica hotels have popped up at a phenomenal rate over the last few years. Right in La Fortuna you'll find a score of budget options. If you have the time, it's worth walking around and checking out a couple. If you have a rental car, drive a little bit out of town toward Tabacon hot springs and you'll find several more basic cabins, some that even offer views of the Arenal volcano.

There are a couple places both in town and right on the outskirts of La Fortuna that allow camping, with access to basic bathroom facilities, for around $5 to $7 per person per night.

Moderate priced hotels--There has been ongoing construction along the entire length of the road between La Fortuna and Tabacon. If you have a rental car and can take the time, you might want to stop and check out any new or interesting hotels or cabins that catch your eye along the way.

Inexpensive hotels--In addition to the options in La Fortuna, if you've got a car, check out cabinas along the road to Tabacon that offer simple rooms, some with the volcano views and great locations like the more expensive hotels in the area without the cost.

The Costa Rica hotels listed in the area info section of explorecostarica.com, are close to La Fortuna and the Arenal volcano. Most hotels have a good selection of adventure tours such as zip-lining canopy tours, ATV, waterfall excursions, horseback riding, white water rafting, hiking and both night and day tours to Arenal and Tabacon. As an incentive, some hotels offer discounts to the hot springs which each reservation so be sure to ask.
