Costa Rica Tours San Jose: Gold Museum

Cultural Tourism lovers will find an excellent option to learn more about Costa Rica’s Pre-Columbian past, currency history and visual arts in the Central Bank Museums. A total of 5 different exhibits, 2 permanent and 3 temporary, await your enjoyment.

The most beautiful pieces of gold and Pre-Columbian ceramics created by our indigenous peoples. You'll find some of the most outstanding coins and bills in circulation from the colonial period to the present in Costa Rica. These are just a part of the great historical, artistic and archaeological wealth that you will find in the Central Bank Museums.

Due to its unique location in Costa Rica's Central Valley, San Jose, you will be able to combine your visit with a tour of the capital’s main boulevard and the National Theatre, a Costa Rican architectural gem. You will also be able to admire the variety of historical buildings found in the center, such as the Central Post Office and Costa Rica’s ‘Gran Hotel’, among others. You can also take a tour of the National Museum and the Jade Museum, within a few blocks of the Central Bank Museums.
