Artistic touches abound in this whimsical Costa Rica hotel. Most of the rooms are classified as junior suites, although they really are just good sized rooms, with no separate sitting area, or other distinguishing factor that I usually associate with a junior. These are found in a series of individual and duplex buildings spread around the hotel's lush grounds. All come with wood floors, stone showers and artsy tile work on the bathroom sinks and counters. I prefer no. 4 through no. 7, which have higher ceilings. The two master suites are in the main building, and are larger, and come with massive flat screen television sets and a good-sized private patio garden. A variety of treatments and therapies are offered at the small spa here, and the in-house restaurant is excellent. This hotel is located, just outside of Santa Ana, on the main road to Ciudad Colon.
Facilities: Restaurant; bar; small spa; Jacuzzi; tour desk; laundry service

San Jose Guide:
San Jose, the Capital of Costa Rica, is the hub of all transportation in Costa Rica. For that reason, it is usually the first place you will visit while in Costa Rica. It lies between three Costa Rica volcanoes. There is a large variety of Costa Rica hotels, parks, restaurants and attractions for visitors. The first thing noticed about San Jose is the local friendliness. The city is set up on a pretty logical grid system. When on foot and touring the capital, Costa Ricans, also known as Ticos, are always willing to lend a hand with directions. Always remember though, locals use landmarks not street names for directions, and if you just can't figure out where you are, find a local church. Every church in Costa Rica faces west. While in the Capital, you have access to the best public transportation in all of Central America.
