Granada: Complejo Turistico Cocibolca (Lakeshore tourist area)

ranada's Complejo Turistico Cocibolca is the tourist Complex by the lakeshore that offers a relaxing beach front atmosphere, where you can take in the fresh breeze and be greeted by clamoring hot-dog and chicharrón vendors.

The complejo is a tourist center in the shoulder of a park, with a breathless panoramic backdrop or the magnificent Lake Cocibolca.

Families gather to spend the day with a picnic lunch or just to enjoy the ocean front peaceful surroundings.

The marina located at the end of the lake offers many boat tours to the Isletas. (a pleasant 45 minute walk) Well worth it! Taxis go by regularly if you're not into walking the distance.  Bring small change if you plan to buy a beverage or snack. The restaurants or vendors have limited means to exchange large bills.

We we're quote C400 (córdobas) for 1 hour boat ride from the guy at the gate. After several more approaches from locals, we found the best deal right at the marina. C200 for a 2 hour Tour. (aprox. $12 US)
