Buying Real Estate property in Tamarindo- a cosmopolitan beach town
Tamarindo is a cosmopolitan beach town, located on the dynamic Northwest Pacific Coast. This region has quickly become a number one destination of Costa Rica. Over the past 10 years Tamarindo has had steady growth and constant increase of property values averaging 20% per year. The prediction is there is still more appreciation to come.
Many people choose, and return to Playa Tamarindo Beach because of it's beauty and vast array of activities in the area: the quality of hotel accommodations, world class surfing and sport fishing, restaurants, nightlife, casinos and two 18 hole golf courses nearby.
Tamarindo beach has a local airport with up to 8 flights per day to Costa Rica's capital, San Jose. The new international airport of Liberia is located 50 minutes away and serves around 45 flights per week to North America. You can leave your home in the morning and find yourself the same day in the afternoon relaxing on the beach of Tamarindo.
Close to Tamarindo is the American College prep Country Day School, the only more upscale bilingual school outside of San Jose. Families concerned about a good education for their children settle in the Tamarindo area to have a first rate education for their children. Currently, there are no other beach communities in Costa Rica that boast the kind of amenities and infrastructure that Tamarindo has to offer.
Tamarindo is still relatively undeveloped compared to other beach towns in the US, Europe, and other Central or South American countries. It’s said that Tamarindo beach is more developed than other beaches of Costa Rica, but don't let that be misleading. You might not be the first visitor which was expecting a more developed town based on that information. Well, you must come and see for yourself.
The climate in Tamarindo is pleasant year round: hot and dry with a nice ocean breeze during summer (Dec - May) and tropical rains with cool nights during the winter (Jul - Nov). The average weather is warm and temperature is 84 degrees year round.
Tamarindo Beach is surrounded by two protected green areas with an estuary on each end. There are also many Costa Rica National Parks close by including Palo Verde National Park, Santa Rosa, Rincon de la Vieja, Lake and Volcano Arenal, and the Rain Forest, Monteverde. For the adventurous, Nicaragua is just a 2 hour drive away.
Tamarindo is well worth a visit and you might want to become a local as part of a multicultural community. There is a wide variety of options for living here, and buying property in Tamarindo is certainly an excellent investment. You can choose from upscale condominiums, luxury beach homes, vacation rentals or rural properties. There are also lots or large parcels for Real Estate development.
