| Yes Costa Rica is the place for good coffee tours. At present there are at least two very well known gourmet coffee producers that will give you great tours (Café Britt and Doka State). Not only they will take you through their farms showing you the coffee plants and the real ripe cherries where coffee comes from, but also you will see the processing, milling, selecting, roasting and packing. These are very educational tours and at the end you can try the different varieties that come from the roasting process. Both farms have stores where you can buy the product for a good price. |

Hello Judyco, let me tell you that if you visit the South of the country, San Vito area, you will find some local producers that are importing great quality coffee (Starbucks is buying directly from here). You can even see the real coffee pickers in action and all the processing, coffee drying, milling, selecting and packing.
By the way, I suggest visiting Cafe Lila Farm; they have a nice farm and excellent product being imported to USA and Europe. |
